Adelie Penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) and Mt. Herschel (3335 m), Admiralty Mountains, Ross Sea, Antarctica (72° 12' S, 169° 31' E). James Clark Ross discovered the mountain in 1841 and named it for the English astronomer Sir John Herschel. Sir Edmund Hillary of Mount Everest fame was in the first party to climb Mount Herschel in 1967.
