Odysseus kills the suitors of his wife Penelope when he returns to Ithaca from his travels. The scene is recorded on a skyphos, or drinking bowl, dating from the 5th century BC. The scene on the right is on the opposite side of the bowl. The incident is central to Homer's famous poem The Odyssey. After a print dating from 1883.
