Hot air balloon flight on January 19, 1784 piloted by Joseph-Michel Montgolfier, 1740 – 1810 and Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier, 1754 - 1785 and five others. The balloon named Le Flesselles was launched from Lyon, France. It was one of the biggest balloons ever launched, including to this day, with a volume of around 19,800 cubic meters (around 700.000 cubic feet.) Le Flesselle only managed to fly for 13 minutes before beginning to leak its hot air. It landed safely with no one injured.
